ASR Systems' mission is to work alongside the roofing industry in North America to impact business practices so that we are environmentally sustainable.

The Problem: A Substantial Resource Is Being Wasted

The industry's chief waste, asphalt based shingles, are an energy rich product that the U.S.A. and Canada is landfilling at a rate of ~75% nationally. Further, shingles currently recycled are not being used to their full potential due to underdeveloped end market. ASR addresses this problem with a three pronged approach: we increase recycling rates of shingles; we develop advanced systems for separation and extraction of valuable resources; and expand existing use and open new markets by facilitating cradle to cradle sustainability initiatives.

ASR has worked closely with Green Squares to develop a proprietary method for disposing of waste shingles, saving roofers money, offering more convenience and increasing and then broadcasting contractor recycling rates to their communities....

ASR produces recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) for the paving industry meeting Department of Transportation (DOT) specifications. We have developed and patented an advanced raw material recovery system, harvesting granules and asphalt coated limestone powder.
